Well, as a matter of fact I am. Very jolly excited.

NEW classes and some with a groovy difference.

First newbie. FUN WITH DENIM. Using two old pairs of jeans (you need large ones) you will make this very cool shoulder bag.

As this class is an up-cycling class, I’m focussing on Sustainability and Affordability. As such I’m proposing you bring your lunch, or a plate to share, and we are keeping the tuition cost on the down-low.

your pattern, ticking for lining and endless cups of tea are all included.

Details and bookings here.

So from one useful little bag to another. But this time we will be crocheting it ourselves. Spread over two days (Saturday 1st and Saturday 15th Nov) you will crochet a basket with handles, using beautiful 12 ply Bendigo Woollen Mills yarn (which we will supply). You will need to bring both a 5.00 and 5.50mm crochet hook.

Heres the first side of the basket.

Details for this beauty here.

Places also available in the hand stitching class that Gail Pan will be teaching. Saturday 6th September. Will be a lovely, gentle day. Half day class, starting at 11:00am, to cater for the out of towners who are driving in. Details for Gail’s class are here.  The Redwork panel you stitch can be used for a pillow (as shown), a bag panel or as part of another sewing project.

And I’m pleased to introduce this dude. He will be making a Ballarat debut in our hand sewn toy class with Jodie Carleton, on Saturday 25th October. These days are generally a riot – but you do also sew a toy, amongst the colourful chatter.  Everything you need to know right here.

So, all in all, there is plenty happening.
